  • Dr. Tyler earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from American School of Professional Psychology, Hawaiʻi. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Calgary, Canada; Masters in Clinical Psychology from ASPP, HI. She completed practicums and internship at HIV clinic, correctional facilities, private practice, non-profit organizations, and state hospital in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi in the areas of inpatient/outpatient psychiatry, trauma, forensic, substance abuse, and psychodynamic therapy, specifically Object Relations. She is licensed to practice psychology in California and Hawaiʻi.

  • Dr. Tyler works with adults, adolescents, and families addressing a variety of mental health issues with a special interest in women and LGBTQ. Her specialties include Trauma, Abuse, Custody, Parenting, and Life Issues. In addition, Dr. Tyler has extensive experience in assessment including psychological, psychosexual, and custody evaluation as well as providing workshops, trainings, and supervision of graduate students.

  • Dr. Tyler is a supervisor with the American Red Cross disaster team and clinical member of APA, CPA, HPA. While in Hawaiʻi, she was an adjunct professor at ASPP, member of Sex Offender Management Team, and consultant to Child Protective Services, Department of Health, and Youth Correctional Facility.

  • Dr. Tyler is originally from Canada, immigrating to Hawaiʻi where she resided for the past 30 years before moving to San Diego in 2016. She is proud to be a dual citizen and loves the ocean, paddle boarding, dancing hula, and traveling.
