Education and Licensure: Dr. Hadland earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. She completed externships, internships, postdoctoral fellowship at Sharp Mesa Vista inpatient and outpatient programs, Sharp McDonald Center, UCSD’s Eating Disorder Center for Treatment and Research, San Diego Job Corps, and the Center for Autism Research, Evaluation, and Services. Her research has emphasized concurrent treatments for eating disorders and substance misuse, personality assessments, and biological underpinnings for disordered eating. She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Psychology from University of California, Davis.
Specialties: Dr. Hadland specializes in the treatment of adults with addictive behaviors and problematic substance use, anxiety disorders with particular emphasis on social anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, difficulties in relationships, and ADHD. She has thorough training in the use of comprehensive, adherent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, evidence-based therapies for anxiety disorders, and evidence-based therapies for substance use disorders.
Affiliations: Dr. Hadland is a psychology faculty member at Sharp HealthCare where she supervises postdoctoral fellows, doctoral-level interns, and other therapists-in-training. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Sciences.
Personal: Dr. Hadland lived in Minneapolis then moved to Northern California as a teenager. She loves spending time with close friends and family, including her husband, daughter, and beloved dog.
