Dr. Dun earned her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2010 from Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, California. Dr. Dun has been practicing for more than 10 years offering services to various populations with a wide variety of psychiatric disorders. Dr. Dun has experience in providing care in outpatient and inpatient settings, including crisis intervention centers, hospitals, and community agencies. Dr. Dun is licensed to practice psychology in California.

Dr. Dun is trained on long-term as well as short-term interventions, including psychodynamic therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Dr. Dun is specialized in trauma treatment and dedicates her efforts to helping people learn to cope with adversity and live self-actualized lives. Dr. Dun’s list of specialties include working with individuals who struggle with PTSD, childhood trauma, relational problems, domestic violence, emotional regulation issues, substance use disorders, and severe mental illness. Dr. Dun has many years of experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention. Dr. Dun’s graduate research interests and post-graduate training were focused on academic achievements, especially in women who would like to integrate into STEM fields. Dr. Dun presented her research at several national and international conferences. Dr. Dun is bi-lingual and offers services in English and Russian. Dr. Dun has a background in administration, program development, compliance, and intern supervision.
Dr. Dun’s approach to therapy is collaborative in nature, with a great emphasis on establishing a warm supportive relationship. Dr. Dun utilizes the context of therapeutic relationship to help individuals develop insight and awareness of the unconscious elements of their psychology that have a strong impact on their lives. Dr. Dun provides assistance with creating a deeper meaning and addressing internal obstacles to accomplishing personal goals, as well as learning new coping mechanism to help promote enduring change.
