  • Dr. Herrera earned her Psy.D in Clinical Forensic Psychology in 2018 from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Throughout her training she completed internships working with children and adolescents in care clinics, juvenile hall and school settings. Additionally, Dr. Herrera has treated adults and older adults in correctional facilities, geriatric outpatient clinics, community mental health and private practice. She has experience providing holistic care to adults in both English and Spanish.

  • Dr. Herrera specializes in addressing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, identity development, trauma, adjustment disorders and much more. She has experience working with patients of all ages and sexualities. Though her specialty is in Clinical Forensic Psychology, Dr. Herrera is passionate about working with a diverse population from all walks of life, specifically young adults navigating symptoms of anxiety, depression, adjustment, identity development and co-occurring disorders.

    Her approach to therapy uses evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. Dr. Herrera has training in administering psychological and neurological assessments for diagnostic clarification, appropriate treatment planning, and referrals.

  • Dr. Herrera was born and raised in Southern California. In her free time, she enjoys being out in nature, boating, traveling, working out, indoor cycle, cooking and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Herrera is certified indoor cycle instructor.
