  • Dr. Miggantz earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2013 from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. She completed one practicum and two internships working with children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings. Her training focused on conducting individual and group psychotherapy, as well as psychological assessment.

    Dr. Miggantz has spent the past 11 years as a Clinical Research Psychologist and contractor for the U.S. Navy, conducting research on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, sleep, suicide, and sexual assault among the active duty military population. Additionally, she has provided care as a credentialed psychologist at Naval Medical Center San Diego conducting assessments and delivering crisis response planning to patients experiencing suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Dr. Miggantz is licensed to practice psychology in California.

  • Prior to her work as a research psychologist, Dr. Miggantz’s training and experience concentrated on comprehensive psychological testing for differential diagnosis with children, adolescents, and adults. Although she will miss conducting research for the time being, Dr. Miggantz is very excited to return to the world of psychological testing. More recently, Dr. Miggantz has specialized in the assessment of autism in adults. She conducts strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, collaborative assessments.

    Dr. Miggantz provides a safe space for clients to explore their identity, to make sense of past life experiences, and to begin creating a future that best suits their unique needs. In addition to adult autism assessment, Dr. Miggantz continues to enjoy conducting comprehensive psychological testing batteries for differential diagnosis in adults. Dr. Miggantz is passionate about helping others to better understand themselves through assessment and aims to assist clients in enhancing their quality of life.

  • Dr. Miggantz moved to San Diego from Pennsylvania nearly 20 years ago to attend graduate school and has remained in this wonderful city ever since. She became fascinated by the field of psychology during her first year of undergraduate studies, and she continues to enjoy learning about the wonders of the human mind. Dr. Miggantz is the proud mother of two orange felines who enjoy crashing Zoom meetings during work hours. In her free time, Dr. Miggantz enjoys reading memoirs, watching Korean dramas, and doing acrobatics.
