Since 2020, she has been registered with California’s Board of Psychology as a Psychological Assistant/Associate – enabling her to practice under the supervision of a licensed psychologist as partial requirements towards her California licensure.
Ericka completed her predoctoral internship at an acute psychiatric hospital in San Diego, focusing on individual and group work with children, adolescents, adults, civilians, as well as active-duty military service members in both inpatient and intensive outpatient programs. For five years, Ericka also worked (and later supervised) in the same hospital’s intake department and crisis help-line, providing triage for acute mental health and chemical dependency issues in person and over the phone.
When she is not working at Aloha Psychological Associates, she manages an intensive outpatient program for active-duty military, retired service members, and their adult family members.
