Alo.ha ohana,
To keep people safe and at home we are recommending that you set up telehealth visits (telephone or video appointments). Your health insurance has opened up telehealth services so that the continuity of care is upheld during this increasingly stressful and uncertain time. Below are options and instructions.
It is recommended to keep your regularly scheduled appointment using phone or video technology.
You should receive a text and/or e-mail reminders as usual. You may still liable for no show or late cancel fees if you do not cancel in advance.
To cancel or reschedule your appointment e-mail admin@alohapsych.com or call 619-996-3195
Prior to your appointment pick your preference (video or phone) please e-mail admin@alohapsych.com indicating your choice. If we do not hear from you then you will receive a phone call at or around the time of the scheduled visit.

Instructions for Phone visit
We will call you at or around the time of your appointment. Please be in a private location to uphold confidentiality.
Instructions for Zoom Video
You will receive an e-mail invitation that states Join Zoom Meeting coming from your clinician. Click on the blue hyperlink that shows a Zoom meeting ID to join the Zoom video meeting. You do not need to sign up for a Zoom account.
If you plan on using your phone/iPad go to Apple Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android. Then download the app. You have to allow time and give permission for the Zoom software to save to your computer or phone when connecting to the service. Open up your e-mail a few minutes before the time of the visit and click on the invitation to join. Type in the name you want to display. You will be able to join the meeting before the actual meeting time. Wait up to 10 minutes past your appointment time allowing the clinician to initiate the audio/video meeting (they may be running late). Click start video on the bottom left. (Ensure that Audio is also on). If we encounter technical difficulties or you do not join our meeting your clinician will give you a call from a phone number that will appear as restricted/no caller id.
Please be in a private location to uphold confidentiality. The telehealth invitation e-mail is to start video meetings only and will not to be used for correspondence.
We are glad to be able to continue services.
