  • Dr. Minter earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2023 from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara. He completed internships in Hawaii where he worked with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families through implementation of patient-centered, best-practices therapeutic interventions administered across a milieu of outpatient clinical settings. Dr. Minter is registered as a Psychological Associate in the State of California.

  • Dr. Minter has experience treating a wide range of mental, physical, and emotional issues. He draws on a broad range of evidence-based, patient-centered interventions that promote optimal treatment outcomes and holistic care.

    • Health Psychology: Chronic pain, diabetes, hypertension, weight management, sleep disturbances, exercise, nutrition.

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (3rd Wave): Phobias, anger issues, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, personality disorders.

    • Mindfulness/Meditation Practices: Rewiring neurocognitive pathways, improve focus, increase acceptance of self, others, situation.

    • Existential/Humanistic Psychology: Discovery/development of a sense of meaning and purpose, trauma and complex trauma, narrative development or restructuring, patient-centered care.

    • Positive Psychology: Strength-based, solution focused.

    Dr. Minter enjoys working with a broad range of populations and has clinical experience assisting children and adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families in myriad settings including integrated behavioral health (health care clinics), school-based counseling, county mental health, community and rural mental health, and private practice.

  • Dr. Minter is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy.

  • Dr. Minter is a native of California and currently resides in San Luis Obispo County with his family. He enjoys rock climbing, skim boarding, hiking/camping, being with his family, and spending time with friends. Dr. Minter appreciates simplicity, presence, and discovery of meaning in the moment.
